I grow organic food (when the slugs and snails let me!) in my back garden and my work allotment in South Birmingham. I experiment with heritage varieties, unusual edibles and growing from saved seed.
I make things too, mostly in winter and mainly with crochet and I'm learning to sew dresses and follow patterns with some help from my sewing club friends.
They're called purple pod. I got them from the Garden Organic Heritage Seed Library catalogue 2011. I didn't see them in this year's catalogue and they are no longer listed as a variety on the site. I will have the catalogue somewhere but - believe it or not - we still haven't finished unpacking all our books as we had to buy shelving to put them on! The joys of moving! Next time I see the 2011 catalogue I'll have a look for any additional info.
Hey Claire, what are the purple beans? They look stunning?
