I grow organic food (when the slugs and snails let me!) in my back garden and my work allotment in South Birmingham. I experiment with heritage varieties, unusual edibles and growing from saved seed.
I make things too, mostly in winter and mainly with crochet and I'm learning to sew dresses and follow patterns with some help from my sewing club friends.
I think I used rowan cotton glacé for mine. I'm allergic to wool (it gives me eczema) so I always look for alternatives usually in cotton with a similar weight to the pattern. I threaded my ribbon through with my wool needle. You have to thread it straight through the sides of the teddy bear heads just below the ears.
Hi Claire!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your crochet projects!
I'm just wondering which yarn you used for them as the one in the book seems to have been discontinued now.
I'm also wondering if you have any tips on attaching the ribbon to the garland, as the book doesn't give much info on this.
Thanks in advance.

ReplyDeleteHope that helps.
I love that yarn! Thanks for the tip too! Funnily enough I also suffer with eczema so maybe crocheting with cotton will suit me better.
